Horse gram Soup,
horse gram has very high protein content and digest slowly hence very good for dieting or weight reduction
the addition of ajwan,jeera (cumin) and pepper / marichi are vajikaran and hence increases ushna dhatu and reduces cholesterol, since acts as vajiaran and hence recommended for potency improvement
saindhava lavan (rock salt) corrects the potassium balance and keeps less load on kidneys
corainder leaves will clean kidneys
Ulava Jaava (horse gram soup )
Horse gram
Ulavalu (horse gram) : 50 gm (kulthi)/Hulthi
1/2 inch crushed ginger
1/2 tspoon ajwain (carom seeds)
1/2 tspoon Jeera powder (cumin powder)
1/2 t spoon Pepper Powder
1/2 t spoon Rock salt(Saindhava lavana)
few coriander leaves
Boil ulavalu (horse gram) in ½ (500 ML) liter of water and prepare Jaava (semi-liquid).
Drain the horse gram
Add little ginger, vamu (Ajwain), jeera (Cumin seeds) powder, pepper powder, saindhava lavanam (rock salt),coriander leaves(cilantro) along with water and boil the contents till thick liquid is formed.
Make the portion of (1/2 to 1/4 th portion) drained horse grams into paste and mis it with drained liquid
Rest of the Horse gram may be used for other purposes such as part of daily sprouts salad.
Serve the soup
Usage: To be taken daily at 4:00 p.m.This will tighten the sagging tummy and reduce weight if take regularly atleast for 1 month and see the result.
Please avoid fatty foods during this period
Clean Horse grams and see that it is free of sand
